JIHAD
In
islam the
word "Jihad"is very popular, the same way its misinterpretation is also very popular among non muslim people . The word " JAHAD" is in urdu dictionary. It
means Strength , Try , Bravery . The word Jihad came from the word Jahad . It also means Try,Efforts .
War or
Violence are not seen anywhere as the meaning of Jihad .The word Jehad is used again and again in the Kuran-e- Sharif . But it is related with the religious point of view .It is not mention anywhere in the reference of war or violence .
In the Kuran-e- Sharif the word " KITAL" is used for war and violence . "KITAL" means bloodshed ,war ,battle or Quarrel
Three things are most important in Islam . DIN ,SHARIYAT,and IBADAT .Din means religion .Shariyat means rules and regulations . Ibadat means pray or worship.There is no place for violence or enforcement in follwing these three things . Use of swards to spread the islam is lack of understanding of Islam . It is said in the Kuran-e- Sharif that
"La Ikara Fiddin " Means " Dot do enforcement in the matter of religion"
so it is absolutely wrong to create violence in the name of Jihad .
Jihad-e-Sabillilaha is used at one place in Kuran-e-Sharif . It means ,
"To do efforts on the way of Alallah "
In the Kuran-e- Sharif at many places it is said to Mohammed Saheb that,
" People do not put faith in your words or inspite of being Muslims , they do not behave truthfully and purely with you , after that continue Jihad to show them right path of Islam"
Condition of the order of JIhad is also given in Kuran-e-Sharif that ,
"And on the way of the Allah , you fight with them who are fighting with you . But do not exaggerate because Allah do not like it . And if you forgive them then it is more like to Allah "
Once somebody has asked Mohammed Saheb ,
" Which is the biggest Jihad ? "
Mohammed Saheb replied,
"The biggest Jihad is to have control on one''s own tendencies .It means the biggest Jihad is to win on one''s own anger and passion "
