Objective:To observe the effects of
Hongjingtian on serumal cytokines in Rat during Ischemia and
Reperfusion Injury of Heart
and the possible action mechanism. Methods:40 male Spraegu-Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups:sham operated group(A group, normal saline 2 ml/d), I/R group(B group, normal saline 2 ml/d),
Hongjingtian-treated I/R group(C group,5g/kg/d) and benazepril-treated I/R group(D group, 10 mg/kg/d). After five days of pretreatment, the left anterior descending coronary arteries(LAD) of the ten rats in group A were false ligated. In group B,C,and D,the LADs were ligated and obturated for 60 minutes ,and then reperfused for 60 minutes. The whole bloods of all rats in each groups were collected and then centrifuged to determine the content of serumal TNF-α and IL-6.Results:The concentration of TNF-α and IL-6 were remarkably decreased and there was both obvious significance in the two treatment groups compared with model group. Conclusion:The results demonstrate that Hongjingtian provides similar remarkable protective effects in a rat model of ischemia
reperfusion and the protective effects of Hongjingtian is partially due to reducing the concentration of TNF-α and IL-6.
