OBJECTIVE To apply GC fingerprints to the comparison of
Amomum villousm Lour. collected from different areas.METHODS The
samples of different areas were compared by application of GC
fingerprinting. GC methods were optimized in order to get high quality GC profile. The GC system consisted of HP5890 and FID. The analysis was performed on a HP-5 column (Crosslinked Mehyl siloxame, 30 m×0.32 mm, 0.25 μm). The temperatures of sample vent and FID were 230℃ and 300℃ respectively. The column temperature was programmedly elevated from 70℃ (5 min) to 140℃ (50 min) at 10℃·min~(-1). The carrier gas was N_2. The flow rate was 0.60 mL·min~(-1). The refractive ratio of distillation was 50∶1. RESULTS The GC fingerprinting was established. The similarity degree of the crude drugs from different producing areas has been carried on. CONCLUSION A good fingerprint of
Amomum villousm has been described. The method is simple and accurate with good reproducibility. The GC fingerprinting with specificity can be applied to the quality control of A. villousm.
