This paper holds that the study of the psychology in translating which is restricted only to the study of the motivation and the working psychology of all translators is far from enough if the special study of eminent translators' psychology guiding creation in translating is not included. Eminent translators' psychology guiding creation in translating is completely different from that of ordinary translators in that eminent translators have much higher psychological level in translating than ordinary translators. Three kinds of eminent translators' psychology guiding creation in translating have been summarized as the psychology of dedication to their countries, the psychology of making both eminent translators themselves and readers pleased and the psychology of selffulfillment. More often than not, one eminent translator possesses more than one kind of such psychology.
