There appeared two different
editions of Ming Ru Xue An (namely the Confucian Academic History of the Ming Dynasty) around
the 30th year of Kangxi period in Qing Dynasty (1691),one compiled by Zheng Xing and the other by Jia Run and his son Jia Pu.In the 1st year of Daoguang (1821),a man named Mo Jin compiled the book by synthesizing the above\|mentioned
editions. The edition by Zheng Xing has long been regarded as the best of the three, while this article, through careful comparison and analysis of the sequences, titles and
contents between the Zheng and the Jia editions, proves that the latter is better than the former in almost every aspect, therefore, holds that Jia's should be the revised edition of the Zheng edition, namely the definitive edition written by Huang Zongxi in his old age which is the best one among the three.Though the Mo's edition also employed the contents of the Jia edition,it followed the Zheng's in the arrangement of the sequence and titles,so it can not be taken as authority.
