his scholarly works and his posterity, etc..It concludes that he was given to birth in County Ba (now Chongqing) in 1364, the 24th year of Era Zhizheng in the Late Yuan Dynasty, and died somewhat later 1450, the first year of Era Jingtai in the Ming Dyn? asty. He was recommended to be official in 1403, the first year of Era Yongle for the reason of his scholarship and morality. He worked successively as Master of Confucianism in Counties Xinfan, Zixian and to be buried there afterwards; meanwhile, he had lived in Macheng for some time. He had accomplished his Collection of Imitations in 1436, the first year of Era Zhengtong, while this book had begun to be written from Era Yongle to the third year of Era Xuande, He compiled The History of Prefecture Hanyang in the 7th year of Era Xuande, He completed 10 volumes of Trivial views of Xuehang and 20 volumes of Revised Sources of Things after his retirement.
