There are some variations in the use of such patterns in the northern and southern dialects. In Daye variety, the verbs that can be used in such patterns are those that have the meaning of "give", "get","narrate" , "pour", "owe", "name", "help" or"write/copy ". Patterns containing double objects in Daye variety have two different word orders. One is "S + V + O1 + O2" and the other is "S + V + O2 + O1". Occasionally, the introducting element "le" can be used before the indirect object. The use of "le" will influence the structure and word order of such patterns. Sometimes, the positions of di- rect and indirect objects can be exchanged, which depends on the kind of verbs used in the patterns. What is more, verbs also determine whether the direct and indirect objects are overt or covert. When verbs with meaning of "rent"or"borrow" are used in such patterns, the sentences are usually ambiguous. In certain cases, another verb can be used after such patterns to form a complex sentence pattern: "S + V1 + O1+ O2 + V2".
