Growing up the Church Choir, and Gospel Music was all that was stressed in my environment. People
have told me that this is the wrong way to phrase what happen. That it was not stressful. Singing, and playing Gospel music was the best way to teach me music, and how to play an instrument. And Gospel Music is the best genera, or category of musicale expression. I have never said that it wasn''t. I love Gospel Music. It''s just that when I was not in church. I heard other artist playing other styles of music. I still like Gospel, and other categories also. For me it was the radio. Back when I was growing up it was the radio where I could hear all the popular songs. The year I graduated was the year MTV started broadcasting. But there was artiest like George Benson, with his album Breezing. Then after his hit album he had the hit
single On Broadway. On Broadway was a monster hit. I would hear it on the radio everyday. They would play it on the radio when I was driving too
school. Than after school they would play it again on the radio driving home. I know Breezing is over twenty years old now. But it is still a good CD. And there are at least three more music video stations. I still hear the single, On Broadway played on the radio. Mostly Jazz radio plays it. Gospel, R&B music I listen to the most. I play the videos on websites. Or on website radio stations. I like some of the other categories like hip-hop. I watch there video''s.
