Talib
ally and the
curd By Sk Enamul Hoque It is a nice village in northern Bangladesh.A thriving river is following in a rippling way by the side of the village. Some Talib Ally (30) lived in the village. He was a marginal farmer and sometime he
used to plough his own piece of land. He was a faithful bachelor and used to live with his parents who were, of course, poor. He was younger to me for at least ten years. Most of his friends and peers got married and was leading a happy life. Because they have no high ambition in their life they were not eager to earn huge money by hook or by crook. they were having a peaceful life and were content with the means what they possessed. Perhaps you heard the fact that the people of Bangladesh are one those people in the world who are by far the happiest in the world, though they have little money as well as little means to survive. So Talib Ally and his associates were, undoubtedly, not different from this trend of life. Talib Ally was a open-minded person with no hatred to any body. His policy was Friendship to all, malice towards none;;. He used to go the village market to sell his household commodities like bringal ,tomato, potatoes etc.But to all utter suspence he did not resort to haggling with the customers. Thus he become very much
dear to some customer who frequently visit the village bazaar Notwithstanding lack of quality products in his possession they very often flock to him. My dear reader here is another point about ATalib Ally. Once upon a time Talib Ally was invited to a
wedding party by one of his neighboubrs. He went to the wedding party dressing himself supercllass as far as possible. In the village wedding party it customary to provide some kind of home-made
pitha (cake) to the invitees. Then a product
made ofmollasesand
rice. Then come the turn of rice and
meat. To the invitees. The clever ones used to less cake and
’ nasta’ so that he can take more meat and rice which very delicious to most of them . Talib Ally took all the things ie ,cakes ,nasta, and meat and rice as well to the brim Thus when the curd came Tailb Ally made a hue and cry. He told the host why they did not tell him about the curd earliear. At this stage he cannot feed the curd anymore. Hearing his statement some people loughedout , but some were sympathetic. I can assure you ,dear reader , Talib Ally till lives a simple life in his village.
