As many of you probably wonder, I happen to question myself on the sanity of humankind. Horrible terrorist attacks in the name of God are completely beyond my understanding. Mankind falls into cruelty to its own kind, to other species and to our ecosystem driven by lust for self destruction. When people start to kill each other because of their religious beliefs, Confucius comes to my mind "If you still don't understand life, how can you understand death?" And for this mater the Afterlife. How can it be possible that people kill other human beings because of what they believe may happen when we are dead? I'm simply so amazed by this realization that I don't know if to laugh or cry. I suggest that the fundamentalist simply should solve this mater by committing suicide if they do not like what other people think. I personally live by the law of not doing to others what I do not like to be done to myself, and the only way to live peacefully is by respecting human rights.
Confucius also believed that the final objective of every individual should be global peace and general harmony; this can also only be accomplished through respect of each others religion, race and culture. I firmly believe 2486 years after his death that this should be a true objective for all of us, and that we should very much analyze that what I believe may or may not happen in the afterlife, is not a sane reason to terminate a persons existence in this world. Furthermore, if human beings use approximately 10% of their brain capacity, there is no person on this earth who could possibly of understand 100% of our existence, and the after of our existence. We should concentrate on making our "NOW" a peaceful and harmonious place, instead of making a hell out of ignorance.
