“Attempt Great things for God, Expect Great things from God!” This statement has always inspired me and pushed me from back to do something for God, but I have only dreamt about so many things instead of attempting something for God. Two years ago I had a vision of starting one magazine in English, dealing with the practical problems of youth, family, their biblical solutions and biblical teaching etc. But till the year 2005 my vision was still a vision, as I have never acted on it. My main obstruction was fund. Where will I get so much of fund to start a Magazine initially? This question was haunting me day and night. But in Oct. 2005, God again reminded me of that same vision with a new idea. After that I started working on that idea. Today I could print a small booklet of two pages. My dream was completed in mid 2006 when one of my cousins told me that there are many free blog sites where you can have your own blog. After that I created a blog and could reach the whole world freely with my write-ups.
As we all know that Life is short. And I wanted to make use of it, which was the main reason behind this blog. My main aim is - listening to the problems of people, encourage them, give them moral support, mental strength and pray for them. Along with my wife, I am always ready to share our experiences with others. And in that light I have created this blog ‘THE CANDLES’. The significance of the name ‘The Candles’ is that ‘we both are small candles burning and eager to shed a very little light as far as we can in this world of dark despair’.
This blog deals with the practical problems of life and their practical and biblical solutions. Another motive behind this blog is also to start an ‘online support group’, which is still in the planning stage. I pray that I can start it as soon as possible. I am searching for able counselors, pastors and experienced people for this ‘online support group’, which is really indispensable. There are many useful articles and poems posted in my blog. ‘Disciplining Your Children’, ‘Conflicts in a Marriage’, ‘Understanding Your Wife’, ‘Roles of Spouses’, ‘‘Sex’ - A Gift from God’, ‘Abnormal Sexual Behaviours’, ‘Are you sleeping well’, ‘Losing Weight’, ‘My Stress Busters’, and ‘Sex – A Deadly Weapon of Devil’ are among the articles. I want readers from every part of this world, to read the articles, and be benefited.
