Traffic Blues

Book Summary by: rgiyer

Original Author: R.G. Iyer
Can we find a solution for traffic blues?  Yes, we
can.  Following solutions will help a lot:
1.
Streamlining traffic prudently
     Unfortunately, Traffic controllers keep on
allowing vehicles towards one direction continuously while other directions are
ignored.
Traffic controllers should be trained to
streamline traffic properly
2.  Allowing "Share a vehicle".
A large number of vehicles are running with a
single person.  Why don''t we allow contract buses to carry people waiting for
buses?
This will reduce number autos in the road.
Share an auto and Share a Taxi should be strictly followed in all railway
stations and important     junctions of road.  This should be made
compulsory.  Unfortunately, the Traffic police are preventing taxis and autos
from carrying passengers
    on share basis.
3. Repairing roads immediately.   Potholes in roads
cause slow movement of vehicles.
4. Traffic rules must be strictly adhered to by
drivers.
5. Road widening process is going slow day by day.
Road widening at POWAI and ASALPHA should be done on  WARFOORTING
WAY.
Let''s come out with more solutions to enable
hassle-free traffic movement in Mumbai and Thane Roads.
