Leonardo I Gave Caprio personifies to Danny Archer, a former-soldier and mercenary and now dealer of
Diamonds. The war in
Saw Lioness is the backdrop that sets the action of this movie and that proposes a fascinating contrast between the main personage Danny Archer and its contrafigura Solomon Vandy; both Africans but the first white one and the black second. The two they have lost its family, Archer of small, at the age of nine and Solomo recently in the hands of the Revolutionary Force (FRU). Solomon is taken as the slave and carried to work in the mines of
diamonds where finds a
Diamond rose, of gigantic size and at the risk of losing the life hides it for some day to return to seek it and to save its family. Archer and Solomon they are found in the prison. Archer was carried prisoner by contraband of diamonds and himself entire, almost by coincidence, of the existence of the Diamond Rose. An American journalist, Maddy Bowen, interpreted by Jennifer Connelly, idealistic and lover of Archer, aid to the two men to seek the family of Solomon and they leave in search of the diamond, that could be the salvation for these two so different men physically but whose lives very are seemed and full of pain and suffering. The end is the expected, typically American, where the villainous-hero, in this case Danny Archer, changes of attitude al final of the film and to stops being rogue to transform into a good person that finishes saving to Solomon and to I Gave, son of Solomon abducted by the revolutionary and coached as the soldier. A good action of I Gave Caprio and a movie that entertains and he shows superficially the illegal commerce of the diamond, the situation African economic-politics but he passes to be 143 minutes entertained and nothing more.
