As a psychiatrist, Miranda, works with a prison, where psychologically disturbed criminals are kept, believed in everything realistic but, ghost.
Chloe, who killed her stepfather to stop his incestuous knack, always told Miranda about the “devil’s” visits to rape her in her cell. Engulfed in her professional beliefs, Miranda, would wave it aside as ‘delusions’.
Miranda’s husband, Dr. Douglas, did not see his death coming, though he thought he was God; that he saw everything! He was brutally killed by his unwitting possessed wife. Miranda woke 3 days later and found she has been reduced to being a patient; forced to face the people; whom she had tagged ‘deluded’, in the same institution she worked with.
The daughter of Phil Parsons, the hospital patron; thought to have committed suicide, came back as ghost after 4years of torment - in flame- and always leaving the inscription “Not Alone” everywhere, even on Miranda’s arm. Ironically, the ghost believed in Miranda for solution to the mystery.
While attempting to abscond, she saw a man with “ anima sola tattoo” on his chest raping Chloe.
After a successful escape attempted, Miranda soon found a video coverage of her husband brutality, and a teenage girl tied at their “ little creek” apartment.
Miranda, became convinced “ Not Alone” meant; there was someone else (a connection between the murders, and the rapes going on at the institution) because, she said, “likes hunt together; ‘a classic mental disciple syndrome’”.
Miranda, overwhelmed by her finding, could not hold back, but mentioned it to Sheriff Ryan (Douglas’s best friend), who was all-out to avenge his friend, of Miranda. Ryan became jolted of what she might know. Miranda being a psychologist, had everything figured out. Sheriff Ryan believed Douglas must have confessed on his dying hour. Sheriff Ryan attempted to kill Miranda! And would say; she tried to escape! But Miranda not alone, Rachel in her flame caught Ryan and sent him to hell!
