Desperate Housewives maybe so desperate to have a good tv ratings that they are being so insensitive
to other people just so that they will have it. In their last episode, we where shown that there are still people who dwells on the old and shamefull trait of being a racist.
Tv actress Teri Hatcher has shown that there are still people who looks at the color of their skin and the race they have as basis for competency and intelligence in whatever they do. In one of the scenes of the said TV show,Teri said that she first wants to check the doctor''s diplomas to make sure that its not from one of the medical schools from the Philippines before she allows the doctor to check her.
Allow me to enlighten Ms. Hatcher that their show is a big hit here in the Philippines and thats why there are a lot of Filipinos now very much hurt and angry. I would also like to tell Teri that medical workers (doctors,nurses,
caregivers) from the Philippines are very much respected and liked not only in the US but also from around the world.
I am deeply saddened that the lovely Teri Hatcher has something inside her which is very ugly,racism. I am also surprised that the ABC network allowed the use of the script,if its part of the script if not then ABC should discipline their racist actress.
That short scene not only shows Ms. Hatcher''s insensitivity but also shows that she was so unfair to the Filipinos. I hope that Ms. Hatcher apologizes to all FIlipinos spcifically to all Filipino doctors and medical schools.
