Came to Baghdad. The writer is motivated to choose the novel They Came to Baghdad because of few reasons; The story of novel is very interesting; there is an unforeseen event on the end’s story. The struggle’s life of the main character is very challenging. It is interesting too that a woman has
courage''s side. The aims of the
research are; 1) to describe the character of the main character, 2) to describe the courageous aspects of the main character, 3) to describe the moral values of taken from the novel. To describe kind of the character, the writer employs the psychological approach of based on the general comprehension. Before uses that approach the writer should understand too what the character and courage’s definition. The subject of research is a novel entitle They Came to Baghdad which is written by Agatha Christie and object of the research focused on courage’s character of the main character. To fulfill the needed data and information, the writer employs library research and some data on the internet by reading comprehensively. By understanding what character and courage is. Then researcher uses psychological approach to describe that.Some of the important research findings can be stated as follows: 1) based on the comprehension she includes a protagonist character and characterization such as; fair, never say give up, friendly, confident, kind and creative. 2) Those aspects are; Her courage in prevent the difficult condition or problems, Her courage in decides a decision, Also her courage in prevent a danger situation, as like; in killing tragedy she faces that condition bravely, then the last is her courage in keep on self commitment. 3) Moral values in the novel can be found on Victoria Jones’s struggle to gain her wish. She has shows some good moral values, such as; a courage in good way, fortitude and loyal. The novel also gives a contribution to the reader as like on the event that She believe the proverb that “Many ways to go to Roma”.
