blood of his
wife, Paz. During the 18th century, the Juan Luna, Paz and her mother, was living in Spain. Luna was a very jealous husband. He never allowed his wife to go out of the house. He thought that his wife never loved him, because he was just a painter having no stable job. His temper was outrageous. There was a time wherein, he hit Paz many times because she brought some colored pencils for herself. Tired and hurt by the attitude of his husband, Paz, together with her mother, decided to live Juan Luna. One night, when Luna was away, Paz hurriedly packed her clothes. His brother was waiting for them at the end of the street, hoping that Paz and his mother will come out soon. But the hot-tempered Luna arrived in the house and saw his wife walking down the stairs, with her case. In a harsh tone, he asked his wife where she is going. Instead of answering, Paz and her mother run back to their room and shut the door. There are two versions on how Paz died. The first one is; when Paz, went to her room, Luna tried to open it using his pistol. He did not knew that Paz and her mother was standing at the back of the door. Luna shot the door, and when he opened it, he saw his wife and his mother in law, lying with their blood on the floor. Paz’s bother heard the gunshots, and quickly run to his sister’s house, nut he was too late. His mother and sister were already dead. The other version of Paz’s death is; when Luna saw his wife and mother-in-law walking down the stairs, Luna thought that she will go to his lover and leave him. Because of this, Luna’s consciousness seemed to be lost and he hurriedly shot his wife and mother in law. After killing both of them, he used the blood of his wife for his masterpiece ---Spolarium. Luna was imprisoned because of the murder he has done. But it was not long when elite people who were enemy of Paz’s family, helped him to go out of jail. After the tragic event in Luna’s life. He still continued to work as painter. Many believed that the red paint on Luna’s painting was indeed the blood of his wife…because the red paint shows more emotion than any other color in the painting.
