Women and
Material things Over the years it has proved to be so difficult to find true love for a ma more especially, competition
between the haves and don’t haves seem to be widening everyday. Today it’s not the
heart of a man that counts but his pocket. Women say, “we want security, wara , wara, wara. Well I don’t have a problem with that I guess everybody needs security now and then, but I think women turn to go overboard. I miss those days where as a woman you will fall in love with a man because of love not because of the fact that his pockets are so deep. Where the fact that a man is rich was just a bonus, with love being the primary factor. I miss the days where you will just propose a girl you just met, without telling her that you are going to take her to fancy restaurant. My mom and dad met that way and they have been married for over thirty years and the love flame has been burning ever since. But I guess the big question is where is this leading us, according to me this leads us to women not being able to stand on their own, it even leads to abuse. Never ever make a mistake of thinking that when a man do something for you there is no ulterior motives, that’s the biggest mistake, you can’t just turn him into an ATM for nothing, there’s a price to pay. Do women still know what real love is?, not really, all they think about is the car I drive, restaurants I take her to, clothes I wear and they try to build their feeling around that. Others even say it loud, “what can I do with him, he doesn’t have this and that, the fact is his heart is probably deeper than that of a rich fancy hunk. No offence to women, but in my part of town women have lost value dramatically, others even refer to it as hidden prostitution, because what they do basically is sleep with a man because he takes care of them, buying food, clothes etc. Where are women who said no when a man bought them a gift, at least that is how I was raised. Now another problem is that even if a woman is working , she will come back to me and ask for money, what am I reserve bank. A number of divorces out there proves that , ladies were going with this the wrong way, we not looking for hearts anymore , but
material things, may be if we go back to old ways, where a heart was what a woman looks for in a man. Where lines such as “ no matter what”, “till death do us apart”, were said with dipper meaning. Where even if you know your man does not have much but you still crazy about him. If you are woman who still believes in these principles I salute you, but I doubt if there is any.
