Numerous kinds of events in Greenland
Demands on both body and

mind
Greenland has a range of events that exact very different demands on the participants’ physical abilities. Thus participation in Nuuk Snow Festival requires most of all creative talents and good craftsmanship, whilst participation in the two ice golf tournaments, World Ice Golf Championship and Lake Ferguson Masters, requires that you can cope with extreme cold on the golf course and that you have certain basic golf skills.
Rapelling into a crevasse
If you choose to take part in the more extreme events such as Greenland Adventure Race or Arctic Team Challenge, your physical fitness and stamina will be tested to the full.
Summer and winter events
During the summer months a number of sporting events such as the Polar Circle Marathon, Nuuk Marathon and Arctic Midnight Orienteering are organised, whilst, in addition to events such as cross-country skiing in the Arctic Circle Race, the winter months also offer the traditional dogsled trip Arctic Palerfik. As all events take place at some of the most popular tourist destinations in Greenland, there are plenty of opportunities to spend time exploring neighbouring towns and settlements, and excursions are also offered to participants’ companions.
