{Jerry wears improper glasses (to decieve) = A }
Lloyd Braun in order for Llyod (to
appear sane) = B (to himself) = C
{By wearing the glasses Jerry (is decieved) = 1/A}
not recognizing Geore making him (to appear not sane) = 1/B (to another) = 1/C
The algebraic A B and C are listed to correspod with their reciprocals 1/A ect. to show the
diametric opposition in the plot. The intended
consequence (B,C) and the unintended consequence of Jerry''s act (1/B,1/C) are diametricaly
opposed on two accounts. Jerry''s act itself(A), and it''s consequence upon him(1/A) are also diametricaly opposed.
...when a criteria such as diametric opposition is repeated with modification it shows the
talent of the author. I think that the demonstration of the talent of the author accounts for or coincides with the artistic value of a
farce.
