how to practice difficult pieces

Book Summary by: Cecrops

Original Author: leo
what do i do when I''m given a difficult piece by my teacher???thats the question most beginners ask.well, thats not a problem.i
will share to you my style in practicing difficult pieces..and it is very effective, i assure you..First, Learn the notes and play them measure by measure.then when you''ve mastered it, try to play it in its original tempo but no expressions applied...in this way, you will be able to master the notes and its tempo first...when you''ve mastered it already, now try to apply the expressions.Another thing is that it is good for you if you will practice with a metronome so that you will know how fast or how slow the piece is.. when you''ve already mastered a piece, your done.oh.. another tip..in order for you not to forget your piece, practice it every day playing it in slow tempo first then in your second playing, play it in its original tempo..thats all...I hope i can help you in your piano career .
