I am an avid reader of your
newspaper “The Hindu” since my childhood. Hindu is the only news paper we get in our village on those days.!967 At the age of 12 onwards I have acquainted with this paper. In the year 1976 when I was doing my journalism in Bhavan’s college (Hyderabad) our principal (Freedom fighter late Mr. V.H. Desai) suggested us to read the Hindu especially its editorial, (though he was a regular reporter and contributor to some other newspapers and magazines). From that time onwards it was my regular practice that to very carefully go through the edit pages and its editorials. I too started following my principal’s footsteps and started telling others about the paper and its editorials. Few of my relatives and friends are now shifted to this national newspaper. Now I am an editor of English bi-monthly. I also contribute to the
publications specially in Malayalam and contribute to the letters to the editor columns of news
papers and weeklies. Your newspaper journalism
played a
vital role in my life. Let me take this opportunity to thank you for the relentless service your provided for your readers day in and day out through news papers and other publications.
