Apropos the write-up “Nuts about Mutts” by Prashant Banerji was a good piece. No doubt, ''a dog is a friend in need—I
appreciate your concern for them, but your readers'' have much higher expectations from you. They prefer serious matters from your pen. Let such ‘Dog’ subjects be given to Menakas'' and Amalas''. It’s a women''s subject and it’s too boring, which people like you should not deal with. Or are you following the footsteps of your counterpart? "The dog editor, quiet often he carries some stuff on his ''editor dog''. At the same time there is a danger of dreaded rabies from them can spread to humans due to the close movement with it. There are injections available in plenty, but ''Prevention is better than cure". One thing I noticed in the piece is that you did not even mentioned about the problems faced by the common man (Two wheeler drivers and the pedestrians) because of these creatures ( stray dogs). Since people like you and Menakas move around in airplanes and cars you may not be aware about their plights. We must bring a stringent law to eliminate these creators at least from the roads. If the so called animal lovers can’t live without it, let them join together and find a particular place and create an asylum for these creators. Whenever they want to have company with them they can easily reach them and do the favors to them. It seems these so called animal lovers are more worried about these dangerous dogs they are least bothered about the welfare of the common man. No doubt it’s a very sad trend.
