INSPIRATION

Article Summary by: Johana

Original Author: Johana Kafie
Inspiration, a word that we artists like to hold in our fluttering souls and be reminded of the vigor it brings.
How good it is to feel inspired!! The whole world before you changes, your surroundings don't seem to be dull, boring, the same colors and moods, not at all! You feel completely different, as if nature would like for you to have another chance at what can be done, at what can be changed, improved, innovated, altered, animated: inspiration is by itself, opportunity, opportunity of moving forward, of doing something you had regarded as impossible, unreachable, inspiration is the feel of power, if you have inspiration there is an impossibility that you cannot do something, it is as if it were the total opposite of you feeling diminished, useless... with inspiration, everything seems to flow out like if there were no boundaries around your existence, like "who ever gave you permission to come out?" But you can't deny inspiration! Oh no! That would be like killing a bird that is soaring high, or cutting across the electric flow that holds you on to dear life.
But what does being inspired really mean?
If inspiration was something that we all felt in the same way, there wouldn't be any inspiration at all! Inspiration is personal, unique, changing for every one and sometimes for ourselves too: we don't necessarily get inspired with the same stimulants, we can also change, and that's the charm about feeling inspired. Many feel inspired in different and by different sources: some feel it in the shower, others at the beach, some enjoy reading a superb novel, and when they get to the part where they feel identified with, they get inspired, others love watching their favorite sitcoms and that makes them happy, others, more romantically simply adore looking up at the stars and moon at night, thinking on so many things (I am one of those), as the ones that watch out the city buzz from a high balcony will do too, or thinking about Paris and the city by night, the lights, the cobbled streets, the walks by yourself, looking up at people you never saw before and unexpectedly turning on something that makes them tell themselves that getting a walk was probably the best decision they made during the day; others will rather listen to the song that makes them cry, or probably the one that makes them think about how much there is left to do; others are touched by animals, from domestic kitties and puppies to wild jaguars and lions of the vast desert; others feel the love in the trees, in the flowers; some indulge in the feel of sand under their feet with the warmth of a bath of sunlight, the remind of a first love... others simply get inspired after they start their favorite hobby, like painting: they, sometimes, only need to start before they feel inspired to go on in the direction that will take them to do their task in such a way that will satisfy each of their senses after it is done. It is always about passion, about a sense of growth you experiment each time.
But what I most like about inspiration is that I feel so much happiness inside me, I feel like in the right time to do things, I say to myself, "thanks God that I love the things I love to do," and I go and say "this is the time to write a good dialogue in my book,"or  "this is the time when I'll get to finish the shadowing in my painting." But no, I don't say that to myself, I simply feel the duty to go, as if the light leads me on, and the road opens waiting for me to sit and start an adventure I'll remember later... when I'm sober.
