WHEN SMALL WONDERS OF LIFE ARE TRAMPLED BY LIFE ITSELF
Beep, beep! That’s the sound of the alarm going on, opening yet another day of the busy metro life. One often gets so lost in that jungle of life when the small wonders of life-the very essence of it goes unnoticed. As once quoted by the poet William Henry Davies-
"What is this life if, full of
care,
We have no time to
stand and
stare…"
Very often the family rejoices the birth of a new born-a small
WONDER. The smile he gives when you come home after a day’s hard work opens vistas of joy. Yet as time
flies he is looked upon just as another mouth to feed, to care of and in no time that bundle of joy turns to be life the hump of a camel-a burden yet indispensable. The miraculous little packet of life-full of love and joy, goes unnoticed in the race for existence in a world where only the best survives.
Friendship -yet another small wonder of life, gifted so preciously by GOD. A true friend stand up for you and will be there no matter what happens. No number of books, no amount of e-mails, no number of mechanized devices could replace a trustworthy friend. Yet today, in this e-world who shares the
joys of siting together for a talk, or a walk along the park? In the dash for success, race to meet deadlines, in the splurge to meet the ends of life, little treasures like friends get trampled on. Professional ego, commitment towards profession rather than life all hinder the path towards friendship.
Time, the most precious thing which just flies off unknowingly through our minds is yet another wonder of life. Time flies away-as we sprint to meet deadlines, to reach our schedules, to be there at the bus stop to pick your kid, to watch baseball on TV! None of us actually realise the value of time unless we have lost it. He who has just missed the train would have realised it. As once quoted "Time and tide waits for none". True to its words, we live through 20-25years of our life, and we never realise the value of that time which we could have used to shape our personality, our future. Yet knowingly or unknowingly life has takes its toll on our busy lives and it never gives us a moment to enjoy, those moments even when you turn 60!
Life is blessed with joys. It is like a gift all wrapped up colorfully. As you remove each layer filled with color, music and joys you are unveiling a wonder of life-a small wonder gifted by the Almighty. Let nothing come in your way to see the bounties of life, to share those smiles, to stand and stare at the stars.
"A poor life this is if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare…"
