Apropos of Mike Cahill’ summary “It’s their way”, true, but the inequality meted out to the young
girl in question is condemned by all. Whereas, the rapist (men) got meager punishment, and the girl’s punishment increased, this inequality in the name of religion is to be condemned by all right thinking people wherever they are, be in USA, UK or in India or in the remote part of an African country. It should be condemned with all our might and strength. Such punishment may work, at the same time such inhuman treatment towards the weaker sex is condemned by one and all. Voicing against such punishment cannot be termed as "screaming" instead raising a voice against the inhuman treatment is a right attitude of a right thinking person or a nation. It’s possible to set right your side and condemn, but that doesn’t mean that one should keep quite. pvariel@gmail.com
