Ok. Here''s the deal. I was having chronic gastric pain for more than a month now. Doctors prescribed with all different kinds of gastric medication. The medications only help to ease the pain but still each time I swallow food and when the food reaches the stomach, I would feel pain. So my panel doctor referred me to Tan Tock Seng Specialist Hospital to have an endoscope procedure. I was arranged to have the procedure today.
So I went to Tan Tock Seng today. I was feeling lousy and weak. I thought it was because I was fasting for the half of the day. I checked in at the reception and a nurse attended to me. She checked my temperature and found out that I was having fever - 38.4 degrees. Then only I realized I was feeling feverish. So they have to postpone my procedure.
I went back to my panel doctor to get some medication for my high fever. On the way the clinic, I recalled how I was feeling for the past week. I was having severe banging headaches for a couple of days. My body was suffering from aches and cramps. And if I am not mistaken I was feeling really cold for a few nights and feeling feverish for a few days. I didn''t bother much as I thought it was my menses which caused all these. Then the doctor said it could be symptoms of dengue fever. Well it made sense with all the symptoms that I was going through.
Doctor only prescribed me with fever pills just to ease the fever. And to wait and see if there''s any red rashes after a few days.
