A Meal to remember

Article Summary by: rahman2012

A meal to rememberA meal to remember is easier
said than done to delineate for the reason that any meal served anywhere
cannot
be memorized in due sense but such a rare moment materialize in man’s life
cannot be articulated like run of the mill. In my upbringing, I have seen a bet
that a man has eaten an enormous food rigorously which troubled him to a great
extent and this unpleasant incident may be remembered in view of sagacity that
it was not an ordinary food but very exceptionally it was served to him which
was enforced on his part. A few days ago, I have read in a local newspaper that
a man of Bangladesh was handicapped in the
tribal area of Canada in connection with visa to America. It was 12 days belated to
have access and in those days, he had to eat some inferior biscuits and breads
and in that far-flung position, no fresh rice was found to eat with his full
contents. On the 13th day, he got rice with ordinary curry and that kind of
food was ever a memorable meal for him.  Recently,
I have seen a film based on Titanic disaster where various types of foods were
served to the passengers. All the types of foods so far the management of the
ship tried to find out were provided to the passengers and in the history of
civilized world, such items of foods were rare and in fact, to make such foods
ever memorable, the passengers had been fed voraciously as far as they could.
Before death, such foods they ate were valuable, costly and rare. Before
starting the sea voyage, the owner of the Titanic felt glory in such gesture
that he believed that the world may destroy but this great liner cannot be cracked.
But the ancient proverb ‘Pride goes before
fall’ was substantiated in real life situation. Having got so much food,
some of the passengers shouted gladly and expressed their gratitude to the ship
authority that their deaths would eventually occur as they had eaten as far as
they could for their self-indulgence.
When 1500 Titanic passengers
were inundated in the icy North Atlantic waters on April 14, 1912, they shared
one universal condition, just before the disaster, every single one had been
extremely well nourished. Even the immigrants in third class- called steerage
in the movie ‘Titanic’ enjoyed dinners that probably were better than those
they usually ate at home. As for first class – how many flashy ways can some
one convert money into food was an inquiring feeling on the part of the people
who had been victimized in that disaster. Oysters, asparagus with saffron, filet
mignon embellished with foie gras and black truffles, then some more foie grass
had been served adequately and even just as in the movie as has been reflected,
the chief of the ship gave Oscar caliber performances in the sense that a good
beginning in the sea voyage would symbolize an active motion likely to finish
half the battle.
