Masks We Wear

Article Summary by: krishna_48

Original Author: Lady Krishna Asi
Each one of us have invisible masks. We wear them all the time. We wear them in different places. we wear them in school,
in our work, and sometimes we even wear these masks at our own home. We also wear them in front of different people. In front of the people we don't know, the people we don't trust, the people we want to please, the people we want to deceive, we even wear them in front of the people we love. These masks are specially made for different occasions and for different reasons.                               Most of the time we wear the masks in front of the people we don't trust. We wear them because we want to protect ourselves. We are so against in letting others know our weaknesses. We have so much pride inside of us. We are afraid that others will use our weaknesses against us.                                At times, we even wear these masks at home. In front of our family, even to our closest friend! We wear these masks because we want to obtain something from them. We want to feel their love, their care, their affection. We want to have their trust... their approval.                                 Most of us are scared to let our guard down, to let the mask we are using fall to the ground, because we feel bared. We are afraid the the people we cared about won't accept the real us if they see the face behind the mask.                               The truth is, no matter how thick these masks are, no matter how hard we try to keep these masks on our faces and no matter how hard we try to hide our real feelings inside of us, the mask will break in time. Someday, we will realize that wearing these masks and keeping them from falling from our faces is quite tiring.                               In time, we'll realize that the people who sees through our masks are the people who loves us for who we are. These people accepts us and loves everything about us... with flaws and all. We'll realized that being loved and accepted for who we really is the best in the world!
