As freshmen, many find the pleasure of being a college students as complete ( or they think so) independence. For others
it may mean relationships to the opposite sex in the open; or barkada nights to the max; or endless to smoke and drink liquor. Though for computer addicts, it means HEAVEN. Complete and undisturbed hardcore gaming twenty-four hours; that''s what makes life for them. Some don''t even bother to take off and change their uniforms before logging in at the nearest computer computer cafe. Computer gaming, as termed in computer magazine, is promoting Filipino community feeling. So they tend to influence their new classmates (if they ever attend clsses). What I mean about "new classmates" are these poor students who dont have any notion yetof how notorious computer gaming can be. So their friendship is born, a master and apprentice. Then they start to breed a new emerging generation of computer addicts.
Today''s genre of entertainment is focused mainly on high technology gadgets that can ultimately perform multiple roles. PlayStation portables, PS3''s, Nintendo wiis, Xbox360, you name it. The gadgets comes with games that can give realistic simulation experiences. The fact is computer games are inherently part of today''s (or atleast, most of) youth.
