Storms and tempest raved along from cloudy fearsome skies and the oceans roared. The billows rose up engulfing the land and some sturdy vessels afloat. People prayed to gods they knew and fasted all day long to calm down the seas.
A nymph then moved along the waves and made the waters calm and mild. They now lay quite placid still and refused to move in breeze. The people from quite far and wide longed to see the rippling waves and the wavy folds of the sparkling hues and the ebbs and flows of the tides.
The still deep sea is pallid blue, its beaches got deserted soon filled with weeds and mossy grass. Yachting and other water sports became soon a thing of the past and the sailors lost the charm of life sailing over the oceans dead.
