travelling by train in rural places of india
people hang over the entrance of the the compartment of indian train .which seems as people are taken for slavery by forcefully stuffing them in compartments. a man hangs out on a single foot .by balancing on his right foot .and holding himself tightly to rod provided for the support to get into the compartment. there an old lady would be sitting next to the door of the enterance with a box with ducks or roosters to sell in the local market.which is the only cheapest way of transport to the next station.in most part of india.she would shout to the men hangging at the enterance.to be careful and not to place their leg on the box.and would say that men are not supposed to travel in that compartment.and only women from villages are supposed to travel in those compartment to the local market .to the next station. despite this atleast one of the men would be balancing himself on one foot over her feet.as there would''nt be an inch of space to move. there would be some who would transport bycycle , bikes , western lavatory sink .which would help him to use as a seat in the train. then suddenly he would feel salty water pouring from above . then a man sitting on the upper berth would applogize as his child would have pissed .as can''t get down and go to the toilet .or some one else would sit on his place.then a man would try to make way for himself like celebrities who needs to make way for among their fans. he would be none other than the ticket checker .which is a daily routine for him . and then a man in light green pant , clean shaved ,wearing a dark brown polished shoes .who would be from IRPF (indian railway police force) whose daily routine is to chase theives who would steal wallets and get in the train among the rush .
so that they can get away easily .he would make way for himself .to a spacious corner .where he can check the wallets .the one with the money and throw away the one''s without money . without any one''s notice .as he would have become an expert .with years of experience . and if the guy would have his bad days and if some day he gets caught by the ticket checker and not the police . he would get a tight slap from the ticket checker .for not having a ticket and trying to get away sucessfully for such a long time . as ticket checkers start to recogonize faces of frequent traveller .especially crafty one''s like these . and would hand him over to the police . issuing charges of ticketless travelling . instead of stealing .which the checker is not familiar with . in most cases they would bribe the checker with the money which they demand for themself . so what ? it''s someone else''s money .he''s not losing anything . can earn the very next day . there are also cases people falling of the train and dying . but still thing don''t improve and persists to be the same .especially once in a year when travelling by train is free . you can see peoples over the roof of the train . seems as people are leaving their own country .in times of war or famine .this is the adventure . of travelling by train in rural parts of india .
