Post-Agnosticism
There are many philosophies to find out the realities in this world...the truth. ...Who
am I ? What is God ?Whether this universe has any purpose? Can we understand the mystries behind this world ...and many more....like hell heaven,rebirth, soul,...etc etc.As those questions are metaphysical in nature and abstract for undestanding...no concrete answer is possible for these questions...But still people of different faith and philosophies try to answer it, propogate it.....
Every religion has it''''s way to look at these questions...Theist and Atheist both religions try to answer it.Though Atheist religion reject the concept of God...they try to define soul and other abstract concepts.
There are two main strems who try to find answers & those are...
1.Rationalists
2.Empirisists...
Rationalist are those thinkers who believe on Reason.They feel we get knowledge on perticular thing because there are some innate ideas in our mind and these ideas help us in getting knowledge...These innate ideas come fore when we get any experience...and for interpretation of these Experiences we need Innate Ideas..These rationalist do not believe on Experiences because acc.to them our sense experiences can not give us real knowledge.They can be decieved easily...Ex.A person suffering from Jaundice sees everything as Yellow.In the same way there are many factors in this external world which can seriously challange your sense experiences....So Rationalist believe that only Reason can give us true knowledge...
On the other side Empiricist think that true knowledge is possible only through Experiences.Mind is as TABULA ROSA...that is as a empty slate.and as it get experiences...it gets knowledge.There are no innate ideas.Because if there are innate ideas then..
1.These ideas must have been same in everybody''''s mind.but that''''s not true..
2.If knowledge is within us then why we try to find it Outside...
In this way it become clear that neither Reason nor Experience can give us true knowledge.Both systems have serious drawbacks....
Agnosticism say that any effort to find out these answer will result in frustration as we will never get these answers.Our human mind or brain or heart is not that much strong to find out these answers.We have limitations.That''''s why Kant says that Synthetic apriory judjement is not possible.
Agnosticism says this knowedge is not possible.I would like to expand the definition of Agnosicism.I woud say that it is true that we cann''''t find these answers..and rather than finding these answer and fighting with each other on principles of these answers it''''s better to concentrate on prolems of today''''s world.Here i recall a sentence by Marx..."There is great difference between Abstract things and facts...as there is difference between Masturbation and sexual love".
Though marxian view is right it doesn''''t mean that we must stop that eternal search. Write your abstract here.
