MINORITIES UNSAFE IN SECULAR INDIA
Modi’s third stint as CM of Gujarat has not come a surprise. But the mandate
or authority given to him by the voters will not absolve him of the crimes committed against the innocent Muslims. The people who brought him back at the helm of affairs are the same killers, looters, butchers and criminals who took law in their own hands against the Muslims with the support of the biased Government machinery. These elements are brain washed against other sects. Modi has now become hero of Sang Parivar after killing more than two thousand Muslims. Now the Sang Parivar will not hesitate to apply his policy of genocide of
minorities in other states too in order to get the power.
It is surprising that now a big hoarding has been erected outside the headquarters of BJP office in New Delhi in which Modi’s face has been depicted larger than that of other Indian leaders. And on the hoarding is written, “Whoever will talk for the Hindu motives will rule over the country”. In this way passions of the majority community are raised against minorities,
especially Muslims and they are hinted to kill minorities in order to get power and rule the country like the fascist Modi did. This venom spewing against the minorities especially Muslims would be a death knell for the old civilization of India which consists of diverse religions, races, cultures, and languages. And this would engulf all the communities of the India against one another and this will be dangerous for the integrity of the country.
Christian minority also faced brunt of communal forces in Gujarat and in Orissa, that too on the eve of Christmas day. They were not allowed to celebrate the festival with religious fervor and gaiety and were expelled from the churches, beaten, thrashed and killed mercilessly, instead of giving them hearty greeting on the festival. In this loathsome way they are following the agenda of “Pehle Kasai Phir Isai” meaning “first Muslims then Christians”. It is pertinent to mention here that that the constituents of Sang Parivar contemptuously call Muslims as butchers. This bigotry of fascist forces of India towards the minorities especially Muslims has upset the Kashmiri Muslims and created anxiety in their minds regarding their future. Therefore, they feel pain and anguish and as such hesitate to come to terms with Government of India for the settlement of Kashmir issue. And how can they be safe in India when the largest minority of the country is treated as “outsiders”, enemies and butchered on lame excuses.
Kashmiris are sharp enough and feel that the secular credentials of India are crumbling. It is now the responsibility of the secular parties of the country to come together and fight the fascism created by some power thirsty elements. They have to save this country from becoming a hell for the minorities
