If the educator''''s position is a revolutionary one, and if his actions are to be consistent with this
political position, he will consider the process of
education, insofar as it is a knowledge-acquisition process, as one in which the student is an active agent. Thus the task facing the educator is to find better aids to help the
students exert the role of active agents in the process of their own education. Instruments to facilitate the "problematization" of the object to be unveiied and apprehended by the students must be constantly invented and reinvented by the educator. The educator''''s task is not to use such methods and techniques to unveil himself the object of study and then hand it over paternalistically to the students, thereby depriving them of the search effort which is indispensable in the process of knowledge-acquisition. In the relationship between educator and students, which is mediated by the object to be discovered, what is important is the exercise of critical attitudes toward the object of study rather than the educator''''s discourse on the matter.
