Violence on TV Parents and teachers are worried about the effect of
television violence on
children.
Many
children watch
television for several hours every day, and even though they are watching children'''' s programs, they are still confronted with scenes of violence and terror. Whether this constant exposure; to violence encourages children to act more violently2 themselves is not certain. There has been a general increase3 in violence in society in recent years, but experts have not been able at trace this trend directly at te1evisian. Yet, they say that the situation is dangerous because TV teaches children at an ear1y age at accept violence as a natural part of life.
