DEVELOP YOUR INTUITION Try these tips to help you listen to your inner voice:
CHOOSE AN OBJECTIVE
Much of instuition is understaning “nagging” thoughts and feelings we don’t make room for. Train yourself to focus on structered
questions, such as “What should my next goal should be?”. If we consciously focus on certain questions, it is easier to find answers among the seemingly random pieces of information our brain stores every day.
KEEP A JOURNAL
“The mind is messy place”, says
intuition expert Laura Day. “ It is the worst organised closet in the world.” Write down the objectives mentioned above and any quirks or coincidences you notice in your day-to-day life. Not only will youfind it easier to see patterns, you will begin to notice what your subconcious is focusing on.
RESPECT YOU INTUITION
Research from the University of Amsterdam found that it is sometimes better to use your instinctive thoughts when making complex decisions – What Malcolm Gladwell has called “thin-slicing”. However we do not always notice when things worked out well as a result of going with our hunches. Use your journal to spot thetimes hen your instincts were proved right.
RELAX
A US study found that regular meditation could help produce structual changes in the area of the brain associated with insight, attention and sonsory processing, which can increase intuitiveness.
