Resale Value of 2nd hand Maruti Car 800

Article Summary by: Ardhnarishwar

I am talking about the small car being made in India by Maruti, who has a tie up with Suzuki
Car Company, Japan.
Till recent, there was a craze for purchasing a 2nd hand Maruti 800 car, being
small 4 seater car, by average person here who were not able to purchase a new
car. Now fate of existing car owners are in bad shape because no one is
interested to purchase 2nd hand Maruti car even after drastic down in the
price. I purchased my 2nd hand Maruti car in 2003 for $2000.00 and now I am
not  getting resale value more than
$600.00. This all happened because Tata''''s declared recently to launch
"Nano", a little car, for $5000.00 only. Similarly other car making
industrialists have also announced to float little cars in the same or marginal
plus price level and they all would launch the small cars by the end of this
year. However one thing is sure that these low priced cars, being launched in India by
various Car producers, would certainly compromise with the quality and material
for car''''s body. That might not be steel and would provide Fiber and similar
replacements at different parts too. But the 2nd hand car purchasers are not
bothering much on these issues rather they all planning to buy a new car after
few months instead of purchasing a 2nd hand solid steel body Maruti cars. This
way, I do not know what will happen to the scenario of 2nd hand Maruti cars in India as there
will be no buyers and the existing owners have to sell that on the price of
scrap metal only.
