Wanted : A Sledging Coach

Article Summary by: coolpatriot

Original Author: Coolpatriot
Now, don''t be surprised if BCCI puts
that advertize in an employment medium. Its a common knowledge that Australians do sledging to an extent that any opposition player loses his head and does something funny in the heat of the situation. Yet they (aussies) seem to have something, that never does a match referee charges them. But very often, we see the other player (the one who had been provoked ) is always charged (there are many recent examples to that in the form of indian players like Bhajji and Ishant ). Is this a conspiracy against the non-white or asian players...only god knows; but my point is, how do Australians get away with all that kinds of stuff while the INDIANS get banned for so and so no. of matches???
The answer is : They (Aussies) have perfected the art of "sledging". Australia is the only team which has "spirit of cricket" clause in their code of conduct.....surprising?????? WELL THERE ARE MORE OF THEM COMING..... this "spirit of cricket " thing was agreed upon by aussie captain and his team, yes the famous Steve Waugh and his punters. The same STEVE WAUGH who modernised and introduced a systematic approach to sledging in his autobiography. "MENTAL DISINTIGRATION" is what he called it. Now don''t get it wrong when Steve agreed upon spirit of cricket clause, it was and is, not a step to eradicate sledging, on the contrary it provides the gudelines to sledge effectively. For example, they dont do gestures or point towards the pavillion wen taken a wicket which poor Ishant did to Symmo after being provocked. They turn back toward u and mutter something, that the opposition player, heated by the former''s provockation, goes to him and exchange the words...thats what happened in sydney test....Now this opposition player finds himself in bad light as to the others (match referee and umpires) it was he who had approached the sledging player (ofcourse others don''t know that...and if they do then cant prove it, and hence cant punish him).
That, is the main problem we tend to show others that we are holding our ground than to the sledging punters. Its HIgh time we find ourselves a sledging guru as it is the part and parcel of the game as is the bowling and the batting .
Now this scenario leaves us with a question : WHO CAN BE THE BEST SLEDGING COACH FOR THE INDIAN TEAM....?????
