Purple Rain, from the American pop-star Prince, is the best
soundtrack of the cinema from all times according to the editors
of Vanity Fair magazine. The publication made a list with the 50 best compositions for films, which will be published in a special edition called "Movies Rock" in november. The creation of Prince lead the
ranking, but the publication emphasizes that the feature film Purple Rain is "perhaps the worst film concerning performance of the actors of all times". The
soundtrack was classified as an impeccable mixture of "funk" R&B, pop, metal... in a sound that defined the eighties. In the second place in the ranking, the soundtrack of " A Hard Day''s Night", by The Beatles. Following, come "Bloody ballad", The First Night of a Man and Superfly.
