Book Summary by: Jerson Aranha

DEPRESSÃO: The OCULAR MALADY OF ALMA - The depression is an evil which undertakes, in addition to the emotions, the physical
and mental performance of man. The worst of depression is that it invades the inner world, and known as the disease of the soul.
People depressed feed thoughts of defeat, failure and feel powerless in the face of its problems. There have motivation or enthusiasm to live and, in some cases, do not understand the reason they are so unhappy.
Depression often be caused disappointment in love, emotional loss, such as the death of a loved one. Other factors such as unemployment, debt and incomprehension family can further accentuate this state.
To the human eye, depression does not seem to have a solution, the chances of finding the way back are minimal and, if not taken seriously, could even lead to suicide.
The Bible cites cases of depression, such as King Saul. The origin of their sadness and spiritual disturbance, however, was not of a sentimental, organic, not financial, but due to their disobedience to God, which caused the ouster of his Spirit, as we can see: And did that when the (...) malignant spirit came on Saul, David took a harp and dedilhava; then, Saul felt relief and that felt better, and the evil spirit is withdrawing it. (I Samuel 16.23)
Like Saul sought the relief to the illness of his soul in the harp of David, many in medicine also seek a solution. However, the cure for this disease is not common.
