In a communist state the government decides what the people should do. They are told what to do, what to say
and what to believe. The state decides one’s, childhood and education, food, work and thinking. There is no you as an individual but only a tool and an infinitesimal extension of the state. The children are brain washed through the mass communication media and the educational books. They grow up believing that socialism is the best socio- economic philosophy for man hating the capitalist imperialists’ religions. They are literally prisoners of the state with no right to own
property or enjoy the basic freedom.
Can you set an aim in such a society? There are not many careers to chose from. As no one can own private property you cannot aim to be wealthy. Communists are atheists and spiritual and ecclesiastical fields are shut to you. As the freedom of expression is curtailed, you cannot aspire to be a poet writer or
philosopher. Of course you can be a communist thinker, painter, novelist, philosopher or poet. If you have a scientific brain and an inclination to do research, you can do it for the advancement of the state. If you go against the dictates of the state, your free will be incapacitated and you will be a socialistic machine.
If you are in the filed of sports, yes, you can go up, but you cannot escape the clutches of the obsession to excel You are required to succeed, otherwise you will be trampled upon.
Your fate is grim indeed in a communist state!
