Humans are attracted to things which are forbidden to do or sometimes even think.everyone has a dark side lurking around
in sub-conscious level and it takes over at times and make people do things which they are not supposed to do,by the time they realise its too late.some cross this line just out of compulsion, for some its high level of curiosity which compels them to try it once and eventually they get addicted to it hopelessly.some do it in cold blood just out of pure greed and lust.
With growing use of Internet, cyber crime is also on the rise.a new tribe of hackers is growing discreetly, who are easily getting away with stealing confidential information from
companies, simply because there is still no proper laws to curb the menace.its a common belief that only highly trained software professionals are capable of carrying out such theft.but the matter of fact is,the most improbable ones, who are seen as non-techies,are turning out to be new breed of pirates in the cyber world.
A manager in a pharma company in a metro city got addicted to
hacking in a very unlikely manner.he blames the city''s traffic for this, travelling in local train for hours everyday with his laptop and Internet for company.one day while browsing he came across a blog post about how anyone can easily learn to hack, peeking into someone else''s things secretly has always attracted humans in general, and he was no different,he couldn''t control his feelings,it was like getting a key of someone else''s home,he got excited to the idea that he can be invisible and barge in anywhere and get and see what he wished to and no one could catch him.he instantly got hooked to it.
Internet is flooding with such sites/blogs with easy to follow steps which are available for free, anyone with basic computer/Internet skills can easily learn the tricks.even Cd''s containing hacking tools are sold on the streets openly.
Several surveys has brought out startling facts about employees of various financial companies visiting and downloading hacking tools from such sites more than the employees of software companies.some are doing it for financial gains by stealing confidential data of clients and selling them, some do it to know the status of their expected appraisal and helping others also with related information.
The phenomenon is growing like a deadly virus with hardly any cure in sight.
