Reflections of the Old Testament books – The invention of the story of God’s test to the first parents and that of the flood
Moses had the full conviction that his God Yahweh was necessarily good and hence no evil had any place in Him or in what He did. or created. Flood story is not, in any way, of Hebrew origin. We know today that such flood stories are present among the Babylonians and many other ancient cultures. In many of the versions of the flood story the name of the ark-builder is different, the place where the ark came to rest varies too. In the Babylonian version the ark comes to rest in Armenia.
