He tries to show the ancestors of his tribe right from Noah and he gives legendary tales of his fore-fathers such as Abraham, Isaac and so on. The  traditional practice of circumcising every male Israelite was started by Abraham. This was the main element of the covenant between Abraham and Yahweh.
 
The forefathers of Moses migrated into Egypt and there they multiplied. Under the Pharos the people of Israel were condemned to slave labor. It is then that Moses appears and leads his people out Egypt and into the desert under the protection of Yahweh.
 
As Pharaoh was unwilling to let them leave Egypt, the Israelite God sent them a number of plagues. The lord started with locusts, destruction of crops, then toads flooding the lands and at last, the angel of Yahweh kills all the first born child of every Egyptian home. He is a loving God indeed!.
When the Israelites came to the Red sea, God parted the waters to let them go and as soon as they had crossed the waters, He closed the waters and drowned the Egyptian army and hordes of horses which were in hot pursuit of the Israelites. What did the animals do to deserve such a  punishment?.
