HOW TO GUARANTEE ETHYQUE Of THE USE OF THE NTIC IN EDUCATION ?
The responsibility to form human resources with all necessary competences to integrate them in the productive life
and to become the levers of the durable development of their society, but we must also incomplete their formation with other shutters, namely blooming of learning and acquisition from their autonomy while having competences from appreciation and judgment referring to values ethical, aesthetic and cultural allowed by the company, particularly after the introduction of the NTIC in the schools.
Interesting researches are able to inform us on the positive or negative influence of the free use pupil s use of the computer on their moral judgment, and the development of their positive autonomy. We propose to you a research based on the theory of development of Piaget.
Three groups of students processing of the two sexes, between seven and fourteen years, were invited to this research:
- the first group confronted children employing of the software of play opposite other guests to practice the same plays, but traditionally.
- The second group made comparison between children discussing the stories of moral judgment by internet with children exchanging the same verbally counted stories.
- the third group put opposite the children documenting and preaching the values of the coexistence and the tolerance, like bases of peace in the Web, whereas the other reference group discussed same topic on the ground, and through activities like the theatre.
The analysis of the results had led to the following conclusions:
the groups which used the computer had an autonomy more limited than those which communicated and inter acted between them, without intermediaries other than their pars. It was noted that the group playing theatre was very powerful in the fields of acquired knowledge and their communication. It was easy for the researchers to explain slowness in the autonomisation of the children working on the computer by the fact that this instrument, even when it proposes interactive software, imposes strict and automatic rules to the users, by causing a situation of self-centeredness, coercion and individualism.
The debate remains open in connection with the interactivity on the Internet. This one facilitates certainly the communication without borders between the human beings, but this communication is virtual and anonymous in spite of the audio-visual supports, which is not without having negative consequences on the morality plan of the user who, because of anonymity, can allow excesses with respect to his interlocutor, himself anonymous. The other negative point is the fact of giving to imaginary presence which moves the child away from his reality. We will not go until reconsidering the use of new technologies in the training, but they should be regarded as it must be it, a didactic support to use with intelligence and in compliance with the ethical rules which should be observed systematically.
