Hundreds of denominations –a proof that Christianity like any other religion is man established .
After the revolt the catholic Church in the middle ages broke into hundreds of denominations proving that the Church was not God-established. It proves beyond any doubt that Christianity like any other religion is man established.
The Catholic Church being totally in control of the Western Europe, was getting divided: Italy, Spain and parts of France mostly remained as Catholic. The rest fell into three divisions , the Lutheran in Germany and Scandinavia, Calvinist in Switzerland and Netherlands and parts of France and Anglican I England. There were a number of smaller groups scattered in this geopolitical area like the Puritans, Mennonites and Hetterites who later took their ideas to the United states.
Later, the main divisions further fragmented into hundred of denominations of today: Presbyterian, Episcopal, Methodist, Baptist, Congregational, to name just a few apart from the names already mentioned. Christendom became truly a house divided.
