Is There Any Royal Road to Success?

Article Summary by: MousumiSaha

Original Author: Mousumi Saha

‘There is no royal road of getting success.’ Success needs failure, difficulties and strong determination.

1.       Failure is the messenger of success. It makes us aware of the advent of success.

Only craved desire and practice cannot help much till one makes rigorous practical planning with calculated risk to make it successful. There is a very good saying ‘perfect practice makes a man perfect.’

In 2003, when I was in eleventh standard I met a boy named Ronit, who was called to be the most talented student in class. Later I heard his failure made him talented. Once he failed to score the minimum marks whereas he devoted his maximum hours in studying. I was surprised but later could realise he practised but not perfectly. The day he could recognize the faults, he started scheduling and practising and at last achieved his first step towards triumph.

2.       Admire yourself for daring things you have done. We have to remember we are heroes in our own world.

If one denies to really acknowledging own potentiality in contributing something unique to world, it’s hard to achieve others confidence for successful result. Self appreciation saves one from feeling dejected. We are trapped in our self imposed limitations, negligence in self initiative and self suspecting tendency of prior failure.

Mahatma Gandhi, who was quite shaky and felt rejected because of his ugly look among British students in London, became one of the world’s greatest leaders. It was not others who rejected him; it was he who discarded himself.

3.       The more difficulties we face the nearer we get to know the password to success. Difficulties are like an unexpected guest that makes us internally strong to deal with further difficulties supported by strong determination and unfailing attitude. It gets doubled and laughs at us from our doorstep when it finds us alone, weak and fragile. But if we show our gratitude patiently towards it and welcome as a guest from heart, it becomes a guiding star which guides from behind to take us nearer our destination. We all need motivation to lighten our hard-hitting journey.

One day I was watching a talent hunt show where I saw a singer saying with smiling face “I have been struggling for 10 years to become a singer, I did lots of talent hunt shows, received praising words but I did not get any chance to go ahead. One mate I will always have, my ‘struggle’.”

It was my highest and holiest peak of realization and inspiration. I realised that my struggle should be a trivial concerning issue to me. He conquered the difficulty. At last he got break for Movie.

4.       Be innovative. We are victim of rote learning and feel proud to have command over it, but it takes us nowhere. We entitle them to be meritorious and dull who cannot. Here we mistake their imagination and creativity with dull imitation. World remembers the name of successful contributors not knowledgeable and bookish idiots.

Einstein was called to be dull, took three years to complete eighth grade and eventually he was expelled from the school because teachers thought education was too vast for him. Later he became world famous scientist.

5.       Great heroes were never satisfied with their success. If they were, they would never be great.

We should never be satisfied with our success but be careful, do not let the depression that waits for one chance to overshadow.

Robin Sharma, Shiv Khera were never satisfied with their success and will never be till death.

6.       Do not let your thoughts be wounded of erroneous trend that you are getting late to achieve success.

Eckhart Tolle, who suffered 30 years from depression, became one of the best spiritual gurus in the world after writing ‘The Power of Now’.

7.       Sometimes negative feedback can defeat you. Do not take those negatively rather work on those where you think you need to and prove yourself; remember ,“Nobody is going to trust you till you prove yourself as a successful and potential contributor through active participation in winning the tough challenges.”

8.       Fail but do not fail to try.

I always dreamt to become a writer but did not wake up to make it real as I had a secret fear of failure, which proved most damnable and damaged my faith gradually. I did not try in fact I failed to try. The day I could realise it, I started writing. I am not an immediate star performer but can become instant competitor.

9.       If you think you are too weak to try, think about those who are weaker than you. If you think you have failed more than you expected, think about them who have failed more than hundred times or beyond their imagination. If you think it’s enough, think about those who have faced more than enough.

10.    Keep your desire alive; you are destined to be winner.

There was a lady who had cancer and all doctors gave their final words about her death within six months but she did not want to die as there was nobody else to take care of her son.  She wanted to live till his graduation and she died after 20 years when her son completed it successfully.

Now target one by one and hit. Dare to keep the first step ahead you’ll automatically get place for further steps.

    Royal Road to success

Excellent. But it should be little short, say for example, between 300 to 500 words.
