In the 1980s ... what were you doing in London? I was working full time, flat out and commuting from Hampshire to
Waterloo
London on a daily basis and I was so busy that I never got down to seeing any of these You Tube Videos from the 1980s until recently. But I did, however, go to the National Theatre and a lot of London Theatres and so did my students so my time wasnt wasted - it was well spent.
However on a turn of optimism I listened and viewed on You Tube ... the Rock Star .. George Michael who has a song .. A
different Corner ... and I found it quite enchanting in as much as the words are
so emotionally charged that I must admit the notion of turning a different corner did cross my mind as a positive move. For example ... turn a different corner .. metaphorically can mean turn over a new leaf or head off in a different direction and often I did . I walked from the London Hospital right across to White Chapel and back every day and caught the Tube to
Waterloo Station. But even my partner my ex husband didnt seem to have much interest in George Michael nor did my students as we were heavily engaged with The Theatre.
So what a delight and a pleasure it is to view George Michael and his great song ... A different corner tonight in March 2009 ... I was impressed by the gorgeous white coat and chic fringed hairstyle and I did like George Michael's white jumper and matching trousers ... the catwalk scene was positively enchanting and the song is unforgettable .. thanks You Tube .. nice work ..
