Peculiarities of the Zodiacal Signs.
Each zodiacal sign represents any one of the four physical
entities such as fire, air, earth and water. These details
could be very much useful in analyzing characters and
mental dispositions of individuals in course of further
study of astrology.
Moveable signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.
Fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius.
Common signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.
Odd signs: Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and
Aquarius.
Even signs: Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and
Pisces.
All odd signs are masculine and cruel whereas all even
signs are mild and feminine.
Characteristics according to physical nature are as follows.
Fiery signs: Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.
Earthy signs: Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn.
Watery signs: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.
Airy signs: Gemini, Libra and Aquarius.
There is distinction based on long and short ascension.
Signs of long ascension are: Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra ‘
Scorpio and Sagittarius.
Signs of short ascension are: Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces,
Aries, Taurus and Gemini.
Fruitful signs: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.
Barren signs: Gemini, Leo and Virgo.
Signs rising with their heads: Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra,
Scorpio and Aquarius.
These signs (Except Gemini) which rise with their heads are
powerful during the day.
Signs rising with their hinder part: Aries, Taurus, Cancer,
Sagittarius and Capricorn. These signs along with Gemini
are powerful during the night.
Pisces is powerful during the day and night.
Signs of voice: Gemini, Virgo, Aquarius and the first half
of Sagittarius.
Quadrants (Kendras): 1,4,7, 10.
Trines (Trikona) : 5 and 9.
Cadent (Panaparas): 2,5,8 and 11.
Succedent (Apoklimas): 3,6,9 and 12.
9th being a trine, must be removed.
Upachayas: 3,6,10 and 11.
